Lantern Tours for Families at Neot Kedumim
Join us for lantern tours during summer evenings and nights!
Neot Kedumim is located in the Modi'in region (5 minutes from Modi'in) with easy access, plenty of parking, shaded picnic areas and more.
From dusk and into the darkness, without flashlights or mobile devices, we will go on a lantern tour along Neot Kedumim’s paths. We will connect with the sounds and smells of nature and will learn about the ancient world, long before the invention of electricity. We will experience what a family evening looked like back in those days!
The streetlamps, the lights of the cars on the roads and the illuminated houses, make us forget the feeling of darkness and silence.
On the tour, accompanied by lanterns and starlight, we will explore Neot Kedumim at sunset and in the dark.
We will watch the sunset over the coastal plain, listen to the last sounds as the day fades and to the sounds of animals waking up at night.
We will learn about the effect of light pollution around us. We will pass through the remains of an ancient settlement and light ancient oil candles.

What time? The tours start at 18:30.
How long? The duration of the tour is about two hours (1.5 km in total).
Who is it suitable for? Recommended from the age of 5+.
How much does it cost? 40 NIS per participant (payment from age 3).

Cancellation up to 24 hours prior to activity – full refund.
Cancellation less than 24 hours prior to activity – no refund.
The lanterns will be part of the the tour and will be lit after sunset.
