The Garden of the Times

The Garden of the Times

The Garden of the Times presents a variety of wildflowers from the Land of Israel, found in Neot-Kedumum.

(The garden is being rebuilt and upgraded)

The garden is divided into 12 months according to the flowering cycle. We won’t always be able to see all the flowers blooming in the early days and the garden presents the wildflowers, at the beginning of their blooming. In the circle of blossoms, we can see the change of seasons, from the dry summer to the abundance of blossoms in the spring. We can also see the waves of the colors changing from white to red. During the hot summer season and the harsh winter, the flowers are white – because they are pollinated by bees that survive the harsh conditions together in the hive. In winter they warm each other and in summer – cool each other. Bees do not see red and therefore all flowers, such as the Corn bind, Common Caper, Sea Squill, Common Narcissus, and Southern Daisy are white. In the spring, the beetles and butterflies come who see red, the competition for the pollinators is tough and to attract their attention the flowers shine in many colors. At the beginning of spring, the anemones bloom in red, later the Turban Buttercup and Tulips, and at the same time yellow and blue flowers.
