"Succot Experience" at Neot Kedumim Park
In the past, Chol Hamoed Sukkot was a great opportunity for the whole family to get out on the road, sell and buy local merchandise, meet old friends and gain new experiences. On the occasion of Sukkot 2019, visitors to the park can enjoy and feel part of that holiday atmosphere just like in ancient times.
Succot Experience Program includes:
- Walking trails with explanations and demonstrations by our experienced guides about seasonal agricultural installations (in Hebrew)
- Visit the world’s only model Sukkah exhibition
- Musical performance for the whole family
- Arts and crafts workshop
- Special Sukkot production – “The Magical Spice”.
- Snacks and hot meals available for purchase and kosher Sukkahs can be found around the park.

Holiday Tour Trails:
Along the way there are several points of interest, where professional guides can be found explaining the agricultural season, the significance of the holiday, the importance of water and a variety of other related topics. (in Hebrew). Both trails are suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers.
Short Trail-Green (approximately 1 km):
The Brothers’ Threshing floor (Goren Ha’Achim) First stop for both trails – Learn about the preparations for a new agricultural season and anticipation of the first rain.
The ‘Agam’ Sukkah – Discover the importance of water throughout the ages and ways of preserving and utilizing rainwater in ancient times.
The ‘Omer’ Sukkah – Be inspired by the four species of Sukkot and their symbolism. The trail ends at the Sukkah exhibit, where you will see many different types of sukkahs, according to descriptions in the Talmud.
Long Trail – Red (approximately 2 km):

The Jebusite’s Cistern (Bor Ha’Yevusi) – Discover the importance of water throughout the ages and ways of preserving and utilizing rainwater in ancient times.
The ‘Omer’ Sukkah (Sukkat HaOmer) – Be inspired by the four species of Sukkot and their symbolism. The trail ends at the Sukkah exhibit, where you will see many different types of sukkahs, according to descriptions in the Talmud.
Both routes end at the Sukkah exhibition, the only one in the world, displaying approximately 20 different types of Sukkahs as they were described in the Talmud. Demonstrations of ancient trade processes will also be performed there, where the experience of how our ancestors found solutions for food preservation and how different commodities were weighed and measured, comes to life.

Succot Experience – Attraction Zones:
The Summer Garden (Ginat HaKayitz): This area is situated at the start and end point of both the short and long trails (circular trails).
- Arts and crafts activities are available here, at the beginning or at the end of your tour.
- Soft play area for young children.
- Tour train departure station. The tour train experience provides an explanatory tour in Hebrew around the reserve. Tickets can be purchased in the Summer Garden, for an additional 10 NIS (age 3 and above). Tour takes about 20 minutes.
- Bicycle rental (extra charge).
Horesh Stage (Bimat HaHoresh):
“The Magical Spice” (in Hebrew) – An entertaining show based on the story of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi.
Wrritten and directed by Ilan Malachi.
Featuring: Ziv Bar-El, Doron Shemesh, Asi Rosenbaum and Shira Zingboim.

Behind the Shikmim Pool (along the trails) – Build your own model Sukkah from natural materials.
Sara’s Tent:
Nitzan Har-Hen tells the story “Sukkah for rent” based on “Apartment for Rent” by Leah Goldberg. (in Hebrew).
Duration: 15 minutes.

The Sukkah Exhibit area:
Musical Show -“The Voice of the Water”. Ido Ayalon.
An interactive performance using recycled materials to make music.
The duration of the show is about 20 minutes.

Entrance fee: 45 NIS per participant (age 3 and above)
