OBJECTIVES OF NEOT KEDUMIM IN ISRAEL

Through close study of traditional texts and equally careful observation of nature, Neot Kedumim is demonstrating how the Bible uses Israel’s landscapes to convey universal ideas. What follows is a prioritized list of key objectives for Neot Kedumim in Israel over the next 3 years. 

1. Specific physical maintenance improvements which must be implemented
• Rehabilitate the reserve’s 6 reservoir pools
• Repair the handicapped accessible paths
• Rehabilitate outdoor facilities (wine and olive presses, cisterns, etc.)
• Acquire ancient agricultural tools


2. Increase staffing
• Restore salary levels to pre-Intefada levels (salaries were reduced by as much as 60%)
• Hire more tour guides
• Hire more maintenance staff


3. Enhance the physical grounds
• Develop 125 acres at an average cost of $4,000 US per acre
• Develop an operational ancient farmhouse
• Develop a Biblical Village—a living and learning environment allowing prolonged study/vacation/experiential opportunities on the property


4. Increase educational opportunities
• Develop new educational tools tailored to the diversity of needs of our visitors 
• Increase the number of educational programs for export to the US and other countries.
