- Increase the number of educational programs created at NK for export to the US
- Increase variety and frequency of presentations, bringing NK’s programs to learners ranging in age from pre-schoolers to adults

- Increase visibility of Neot Kedumim in the US and around the world
- Convince individuals/organizations/tour operators to add NK to their Israel itineraries
Achieving AFNK’s GOALS
AFNK has made a number of innovations which have both increased our revenues, supplemented NK’s programming and improved the efficiency of AFNK’s administrative work.
- Donations have increased by 36% in fiscal year 2005 over the same period in 2004.
- We received funding from 7 foundations.
- The donor base has expanded by 29%.
- We communicate with our database electronically throughout the year.
- We have revived the Neot Kedumim newsletter, allowing NK to enhance its educational mission. We have translated many of Neot Kedumim’s program descriptions into French and Spanish, bringing our programs to a wider international base.
- By working with the Israeli government’s emissaries in the US, we have increased the number of educational presentations in schools and synagogues. Jo Ann Gardner, Neot Kedumim’s special consultant on biblical gardens in the US, has taught about establishing biblical gardens to an ever-widening audience. Anne Davis, a professor at Trinity Southwestern University, has given presentations to Christian audiences.
- Neot Kedumim’s website has been updated to reflect innovations at the reserve, including special ecological projects. Special editions of the newsletter have focused on ecological issues facing Neot Kedumim.
- Sale of Neot Kedumim’s books, a major source of education and visibility, has increased by 28%. Articles have been published in an increasing number of newspapers and magazines.
- Meetings with individuals, tour operators, and religious institutions have all contributed to an increase in the number of visitors to Neot Kedumim.
