From the Chairman of American Friends of Neot Kedumim

Dear Friends,

Rosh Hashanah is fast approaching and as always, I find myself with many mixed feelings as we prepare for the end of one year and the start of a new one. The Jewish New Year gives us the opportunity to take a close look at what we have, and what we still lack. We give an accounting for what is out of our hands, and over what can we take control and responsibility.

5772 has seen so much happen for Israel and Jews all over the world in general, and for Neot Kedumim in particular. Tourism to the Holy Land has continued to increase this year at a record-setting pace.  Israel has received and absorbed hundreds of new immigrants from all over the world, and we have even seen a significant drop in terror attacks this past year. At Neot Kedumim we have continued to receive and to enthrall visitors from within Israel and abroad with our tours, day camps, summer camps, special holiday family events.

We look forward to your continued support in this task, which is upon all of us. As our Sages taught “It is not incumbent on you to finish the task, but neither are you free to desist from it.” (Pirkei Avot 2:21)

Wishing you all a happy and healthy Shana Tova!

Susan Aberbach, Chairman
American Friends of Neot Kedumim.
