Within the Land of Bible is the source from which the Hebrew Scriptures and the Gospels blossomed. On the back drop of the scenery where Jesus lived and died, parables and prophecies take on life, color, and fragrance, new depth and meaning.
We offer special tours for pilgrims, clergy, and students focusing on "common roots" of Christianity and Judaism.
Israel's nature cycle determines the highlights of each tour: the blooming of the "lilies of the field" in the spring, the grain harvest in early summer, the ingathering of the fruit in late summer, and the olive harvest in winter. Each season's flowering, ripening and agricultural activities converge with scriptural teachings.
"His winnowing fork is in his hand…" (Matthew 3:12).
"So he ran ahead and climbed a sycomore tree to see him…"
"So they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop…"
"…even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these"
"And the soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head…" (John 19:2).
We are happy to offer the following additional options to your tour (for a fee):
• A hands-on session with a Torah scribe who will demonstrate the ancient art of writing scrolls. See how the ink and parchment are prepared. Participate in a real reed-pen calligraphy session.
• A prayer or singing session arranged in a beautiful and inspirational setting with a panoramic view of the Holy Land as Jesus would have seen it.
• A delicious biblical-style meal from our kitchen.
